Never will I quit films, Nayanthara
Is that a deliberate change in the word?? Recently the very famous, Nayanthara, raised the question, “when did I announce, I am quitting films?”,against the reports. days before breaking the hearts of Nayans fans, a news was reported that, Nayan is making her retirement from the film industry after her marriage. but this strong declaration of the actress is an attack for the punching reports and a strong hold for the industry. Actually, the industry is in need of such versatile actresses and is thriving for it these days. News of Nayans tying knot with Prabhu Deva have excited the people and may be now, on the zenith of happiness, hearing the lady’s word.
“Four” together, “Flop” together
“When all the four got in together, the door broke”, this happened when the four films, Chappa kurishu, Collector, Film star and Manushya Mrugam got released on the same day. The audience couldn’t accept the contend of the movie and was not at all welcomed. May be the viewers should study a lot more from the Hollywood and Bollywood audience!!! Among the four, only Chappa Kurishu found its platform, but couldn’t even make its hold till Monday. It’s all because the high rated movies are taking longer time to release and are getting restricted to smaller screens.
‘Remakes’ won’t be repeated
Lets put a stop for the remakes. Wife of Late Bharathan, KPAC Lalitha and Radhalakshmi wife of Late Padmarajan have publicily declared that they wont allow anymore remakes of their husband’s work. It was decided to give a trial for the remake of “Thakara” and “Itha Ivide Vare”, but the sudden declaration have compelled the directors to quit themselves from the project. Its because they say, the movies are so perfect, that there is no scope for a remake. “Why dont you put a hand on other non-hit ?” this was the question raised by the respected wives. On the way, the decision is a kind of heartbreak for the directors, because such golden project wont be seen in Malayalam Industry anymore –this is what the trend says.

Review By : Thanseer M.A
First thing first, Manushya Mrigam is a semi adult, fierce, and gruesome movie which handles a taboo subject. Babu Raj successfully blended what T. K Rajeev Kumar miserably failed in Rathinirvedam remake. The film has many intimate scenes which some audience detested and gave an inferior rating. I doubt, Rathinirvedam or Thakara if done by Babu Raj would have been treated with same contempt. Unlike the above movies Manushya Mrigam’s script has many loopholes and some dialogues and a song were entirely unnecessary for the movie.
Director Baburaj seems to have very much inspired from Chinthamani Kolakkese. In his debut as director he told the story of a herd of girls under threat from a killer. In Manushya Mrigam he took the treatment of Chinthamani by portraying the story in an angle and what originally happened in second half.
Being an actor, Baburaj knows how to squeeze great performance from his colleagues. Kiran Rathore who is effervescently charming has brought the pzazz element to the film. Yester year heroine Aishwarya comes in a small role along with Seema. Abu Salim at last got a character which has some dialogues. Prithviraj, Harisree Asokan and Jagathy don’t have much to do. Indrans enriched the film with great performance and comedy. Kalabavan Mani again proved that if he is given space will perform marvelously. Kulappulli Leela is another great performer. Bheeman Raghu brought smile when he came as a singer which brought reminiscent of song ‘Vaala minukkum ‘in film Chithiram Pesuthadi.
Manushya Mrigam got a distinct climax and the film is divided in two parts; one having some hot scenes; investigation and revelation follows in the succeeding part. The cinematography was apt, so is editing. The fights are good; film’s location which is cold, dark and unapproachable is enchanting. But justifications to the happenings in story are unacceptable.
Baburaj has proved to be an efficient director and he has handled the taboo subject of rape rather deftly. With its reasonable budget, and recovery from sale of satellite and theatrical rights, the movie would ensure Baburaj to recoup investment.
Manushya Mrigam is definitely not a bad film, though I won’t recommend this film for family viewing.
