Quarantine Special Casual Leave Seven Days

Covid 19 2 1

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has extended the covid Quarantine Special Casual Leave to seven days to employees of government, quasi-government, public sector and autonomous institutions.  Covid positives and employees on the primary contact list should be tested seven days later, including public holidays, and present at the office if negative.  Special casual leave will be granted on the basis of a certificate from the Department of Health or the Department of Local Self Government.

If the employee who came on the primary contact list with the covid patient is a covid disease-free person within three months, he does not have to go to the quarantine.  They should follow covid’s instructions, self-monitor for symptoms, report to the office, and seek immediate medical attention if symptoms occur.  Employees who seek treatment at covid Acute Hospital will be granted special casual leave for the entire duration of treatment based on hospital records.  The order also suggests that strict action be taken against employees who misuse this system.
