KOCHI: In a striking fusion of art, technology, and environmental consciousness, India’s first Cyber Trojan Horse—The Trojan Project—was officially unveiled today at c0c0n 2026, the 19th edition of India’s longest-running cybersecurity and hacking conference.
The monumental installation was inaugurated by Shri Ramesh Chennithala, Hon’ble Minister for Home and Vigilance, at the Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Kochi. The conference is jointly organised by the Kerala Police in association with the Information Security Research Association (ISRA).
Standing Tall as a Global First
Standing an imposing 25 feet tall and weighing approximately two tonnes, the installation is believed to be the world’s tallest cybersecurity art installation. It was crafted by renowned artist DaVinci Suresh using around 850 discarded electronic scrap components, including motherboards, processors, memory modules, circuit boards, and cables.
By repurposing e-waste into a massive public monument, the project not only serves as a powerful symbol of digital awareness but also highlights the critical need for responsible electronic waste management and recycling.
Making the Invisible Visible
Drawing inspiration from the legendary Trojan Horse, The Trojan Project tackles the deceptive nature of modern cyber threats. Just like the mythical horse concealed hidden danger, malware, phishing links, fraudulent apps, and online predators frequently infiltrate digital spaces disguised as legitimate services or friendly interactions.
The installation’s core message is clear: what appears harmless online may conceal serious risks, and constant digital vigilance is essential for everyone.
A Global Platform for Child Online Safety
A vital dimension of the initiative is its partnership with Childlight – Global Child Safety Institute, a data institute hosted by the University of Edinburgh. With research estimating that over 300 million children are affected by online sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) annually, the monument will serve as a global focal point to raise awareness against online grooming, sextortion, and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
The collaboration extends the impact of the dedicated CSEA track at c0c0n 2026, reinforcing coordinated global action among law enforcement agencies, tech companies, researchers, and families.
Distinguished Presence
The unveiling ceremony witnessed a massive gathering of prominent national and international leaders, including:
- Shri Ravada Azad Chandra Sekhar IPS, Director General of Police and State Police Chief, Kerala
- Shri T. V. Ravichandran, Deputy National Security Advisor, Government of India
- Shri Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Chairman, State Bank of India

- H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security, UAE

A Permanent Landmark for Cyber Awareness
Designed as a permanent landmark, the Cyber Trojan Horse will continue its mission long after c0c0n 2026 concludes. It is envisioned as a dedicated educational destination for schools, colleges, researchers, and the wider community, hosting workshops and programmes focused on cybersecurity, responsible technology use, and child online protection.
