Pilot dies after Air Force MiG-21 crashes in Punjab

Chandigarh: The pilot of an Air Force MiG-21 plane crashed in Punjab during a training session. Pilot Squadron Leader Abhinav Chaudhary lost his life.

The Air Force has ordered an investigation into the incident. The plane crashed at Bagapura near Moga in Punjab.

The incident took place at around one in the morning. This is the third MiG-21 accident in the country this year. Group captain A Gupta was killed in an accident in March.

The Air Force had also ordered an investigation into the incident. Earlier in January, a MiG-21 crashed in Suratgarh, Rajasthan, but the pilot escaped.
