Lucknow: Two arrested in UP for abusing nuns in train. Anchal Archaria and Purgesh Amaria were arrested by the UP police. UP police said the action was being taken against the remaining accused. The nuns, including Malayalees, were insulted on the train.
Two nuns and two nuns traveling on the Utkal Express from Delhi to Odisha on March 19 were assaulted and threatened. A group of ABVP Bajrang Dal activists hurled insults at the nuns. Railway officials and police who supported the trespassers got the passengers off the train and detained them at the police station. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others had reacted to the incident.
