Guwahati: The government has ordered a judicial inquiry into clashes between police and locals in Assam. The government ordered a probe after the violence of the police widely circulated. Several people were injured in the attack and lathi charge. Nine policemen were also injured in the clash.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has blamed government-sponsored shootings in Assam for the incident.
