New Delhi: The Central government has given an affidavit against WhatsApp in the Delhi High Court. The Center has complained that it is tactically seeking permission from users to implement the new privacy policy. According to the complaint, WhatsApp is constantly notifying users who do not currently approve of the privacy policy.

The company is forcing ordinary people to accept a privacy policy. The Central Government alleges that before the new Personal Data Protection Bill coming into force in the country, it was trying to get information approved by as many people as possible.
The affidavit was filed by the Central Government on public interest litigation seeking action to protect the information and privacy of consumers.
