Babri Masjid case: Demolition unplanned; The court acquitted all the accused

Lucknow: The court has acquitted all the accused in the Babri Masjid case. The verdict was handed down by a special CBI court in Lucknow in the Babri Masjid case. There are 32 accused in the case, including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh, and Uma Bharti. All the accused in the case, including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, and Kalyan Singh, were asked to appear before the court. Of these, 26 appeared in court.

 The verdict comes 27 years, nine months, and 24 days after the demolition of the Babri Masjid. The incident related to the case took place on December 6, 1992. 354 witnesses were examined in the case. Thousands of documents were examined. The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court had ruled in the Ayodhya land dispute case that the demolition of the Babri Masjid was a crime. The verdict was handed down by Special Court Judge Surender Kumar Yadav. Police had set up heavy security in the area.
