Hizbul leader Saifullah killed in Srinagar clash

Srinagar: The leader of the militant group Hizbul Mujahideen, Saifullah, has been killed. Saifullah was killed in a clash in Srinagar, news agency PTI reported. Meanwhile, police said that another terrorist has been arrested and interrogation is continuing.

“This is a great achievement for the police and the security forces. It is not a small achievement,” said Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar. Authorities say Saifullah, who took over the organization after Riyaz Naik was killed in May this year, is one of the main militants in the Kashmir Valley. The clash took place at Rangreth in Srinagar this morning.

The security forces conducted the search based on intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. The militants opened fire on them. Saifullah’s body was found during a post-encounter search.

Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister R Duraikann has died due to COVID

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister R Duraikannu, 72, who was undergoing treatment for Covid, has died. He died at a private hospital in Chennai on Saturday night. Covid was confirmed to the minister on October 13. He was admitted to the Cauvery Hospital in Chennai.

Senior Anna DMK leader Duraikann was the Papanasam MLA from Thanjavur. He has been representing this constituency for about 15 years. Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy visited Duraikann at the hospital yesterday. The cause of death was a severe concussion of the lungs. Breathing was maintained with the help of a ventilator. Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit expressed condolences on his death.

The country’s first seaplane service was inaugurated

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the country’s first seaplane service in Gujarat. The service is from the Statue of Unity located at Kevadia in Narmada district to the Sabarmati river basin in Ahmedabad.

The Prime Minister traveled in the first service. The seaplane service was launched as part of the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The seaplane was set up by SpiceJet. The 19-seater aircraft can carry up to 12 passengers. The ticket price is Rs 4,800 per person.

The distance from Ahmedabad to Kevadia is 200 km. On the seaplane, it can be reached within 40 minutes.

Lockdown has been extended till November 30 in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, the lockdown has been extended till November 30 with further concessions. The theaters, parks, auditorium, and museum will all open on November 10th. It was also decided to start a suburban service if the central government gives its approval. Beaches and swimming pools will be closed.

Educational institutions have been allowed to open from November 16. Only the ninth, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes in the schools will be open in the first phase.

The announcement was made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami. The announcement follows a meeting of health experts and district collectors on Wednesday to assess the situation.

One hundred people can attend the wedding and death functions. At the same time, the pass was made compulsory to reach Tamil Nadu from other states. The government has said it will arrange for students to be grouped into schools as per their preferences.

Kondotty: Insurance companies will give Compensation of Rs 661.32 crore to the airline and its passengers in the wake of the plane crash in Karipur. 378.83 crore to the airline and Rs. 282.49 crore to the passengers.

A consortium of various insurance companies will give historical huge insurance amounts as compensation to India.  The new public sector New India Insurance Company is undertaking the main insurance. Global Insurance Company also covers the bulk of the insurance claim.

Kochi: The Kerala High Court deferred verdict of the case related to the dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and her friends over attacking a YouTuber Vijay P Nair, who posted a pornographic video on YouTube. Vijay opposes granting anticipatory bail to the accused. Single bench hears Nair’s plea.

The complaint was lodged with the Museum Police on the day the controversial video was posted. Following this, the women attacked Vijay P Nair. This is an indication that the plaintiffs do not have faith in the rule of law, the court said. This was to make a difference in society, the plaintiffs replied in the affirmative.

Meanwhile, Vijay P Nair’s advocate said that it is not true that they came to Nair’s house after called by him to resolve the matter. The team robbed Nair’s Laptop and mobile phone after attacking him, Nair’s spokesperson clarified.
