Lakhimpur: A senior officer investigating the incident in which a vehicle was driven among protesting farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh has been transferred. The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred DIG Upendra Kumar Agarwal, head of the Special Investigation Team. But Upendra Kumar Agarwal is in charge of overseeing the case. Kozhikode: Another arrested in Kozhikode Janakikkad molestation case. Mervin from Kayakodi was arrested. Police had registered a case against Mervin.
On the 16th of this month, a 17 – year – old Dalit girl was raped for the second time. Mervin’s arrest was recorded in this case. He was taken into custody yesterday. The arrest was registered after the girl identified the accused. Another accused Rahul has also been arrested. The girl was gang-raped for the first time on March 3. The complainant is a 17-year-old woman from Kuttyadi. Police have taken into custody three Kayathodi residents and one Kuttyadi resident. One of them was in love with a girl. The 17 – year – old girl was raped by four men who took advantage of that love. The victim was given drugs mixed in juice.
