Flood; Five lakhs to the family of the deceased: Cabinet Decision
Thiruvananthapuram: The cabinet meeting decided to pay Rs 5 lakh each as compensation to the family of those killed in the flash floods and landslides. Rs. 4 lakh will be given to those whose houses are completely destroyed. Those who have lost their houses on outlying land will be given Rs. 6 lakh to buy land and Rs. 4 lakh to build a house.
Those whose houses are partially destroyed will be given Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 2.5 lakh. The Cabinet approved the recommendation of the Revenue Department to increase the compensation.
Drug case; KP Gosavi arrested in Pune
Mumbai: KP Gosavi, an absconding witness in the luxury ship drug case against Aryan Khan, has been arrested by the police. He was arrested in Pune. Gosavi had announced three days ago that he would surrender in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Gosavi was one of the eyewitnesses to the NCB’s raid on the Luxury Cup in Mumbai. Gosavi was present at the NCB office with Aryan during a search during a drunken party on the luxury ship. The controversy was sparked by the selfies he took with Aryan in both places. The selfie, which included Gosavi and Aryan, went viral on social media.
There was a fraud case against Gosavi in Pune years ago. He went into hiding after a lookout notice was issued in the case. Meanwhile, Prabhakar Sail, another witness in the case and Gosavi ‘s bodyguard, came to the scene alleging that Gosavi and NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede were trying to extort money from Aryan’s father Shah Rukh Khan. Gosavi, however, denies the allegations.
Isolated showers up to 31 in the state, yellow alert in seven districts
Thiruvananthapuram: There is a possibility of isolated rain in the state till October 31. A yellow alert was declared in seven districts. The yellow alert was issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki districts. Authorities warned people to be careful as there is a possibility of heavy rain and strong winds.
Heavy showers are expected in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts tomorrow and in all districts except Kannur and Kasaragod on Saturday. The cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal has been blamed for the increase in rainfall in Kerala.
Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in at least two places. Fishermen have been advised to be vigilant.
Security forces killed a terrorist in Baramulla, Kashmir
Baramulla: Security forces killed a terrorist in Baramulla, Jammu, and Kashmir. The clash between the militants and the joint security forces took place at Cherdari in Baramulla.
Javed Ashwani, a resident of the Kulgam district, has been identified as a slain terrorist. Javed was an accomplice of Gulzar, the terrorist who was killed on October 20.
He was Gulzar’s aide in the killing of two workers from Vanpoh, Bihar. He is also accused of assaulting traders in Baramulla.
Kashmir Zone Police said a pistol, a grenade, and a magazine were recovered from the terrorist. The search for the joint forces in the area continues.
New complaint again against Monson Mavungal
Kochi: Sexual harassment complaint again against Monson Mavungal. The complaint was lodged by a woman from Kochi. The victim was a young woman who worked at Monson’s firm. The crime branch will record the statement of the woman.
Earlier a POCSO case was registered against Monson Mavungal in Kochi.
The incident took place in 2019 at Monson Mavungal’s house in Kochi. The girl’s mother had stated that she had not complained against Monson for so long out of fear. The case registered by the North police is being investigated by the crime branch.
The girl’s statement revealed that some of the employees had sexually assaulted her. Meanwhile, Monson Mavungal was remanded in judicial custody till November 3 on a complaint filed by archaeologist Santosh. He was remanded by the Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
Tovino Thomas, in his first triple role, comes up with ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’
‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ is the latest film in which Tovino Thomas arrives in three different roles. This is the first time the actor has appeared in a triple role. The new poster titled 9 Years of Tovino Thomas has been released. Directed by Jitin Lal, the film is about an entertainer who travels through three eras.
The film goes through the period of 1900, 1950, and 1990. Sujith Nambiar writes the story and screenplay. The main locations are Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad.

40 lakh viewers for Darshana, number one in trending; Pranav sharing happiness
The first song of the movie Hridayam directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and starring Pranav Mohanlal was released last day. The song ‘Darshana’ is captivating the minds of the Malayalees. The video has been viewed by over four million people so far. Pranav Mohanlal himself shared the joy of the video which has crossed four million with the fans.
The song topped the music category in the YouTube trending list. The song is about the love between Pranav and Darshana Rajendran. Darshana Song hints that the film is a love story of an engineering college. Hisham Abdul Wahab composed the music for the film. Vineeth had earlier stated that there are 15 songs in the film.
The theater will open on Friday, But children have no access
Malayalam movies will be screened in theaters from Friday. Strict Covid standards must be met to enter the theater.
