Thiruvananthapuram:  Anganwadis will be open from January 3. The State Department of Women and Child Development had issued special guidelines on the introduction of kids to Anganwadis, including the covid norms. The proposal is to open Anganwadis from 9:30 to 12:30. Keep a distance of 1.5 m to seat children. Saturdays will be working days.

In the first stage, children with disabilities are excluded. Anganwadis with children above 15 should be divided into batches considering the opinion of the parents. Staff and drivers of vehicles transporting children should receive both doses of the vaccine. Parents should not enter the Anganwadi.

Kochi: Ten more people have been arrested in a case of assault on police by employees of Kizhakkambalam Kitex Company. The accused were identified from the CCTV footage. Thiruvananthapuram: A girl’s father stabbed her boyfriend to death while he was visiting his daughter in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident took place on the Pettah Chalakudy line.

The deceased has been identified as Aneesh George, 19. Accused Lalan surrendered at the police station after the murder. The incident took place at around 3 am today. Aneesh George had come to see the girl at night.

After hearing a noise from his daughter’s room, Lalan came with a weapon and attacked. Lalan smashed the door and stabbed the young man inside. Lalan then went to the police station and was informed about the incident. Lalan told police that the young man was stabbed and had to be taken to hospital. Police arrived and rushed the young man to the medical college but he was pronounced dead.

Thiruvananthapuram: The auto taxi strike which was to be held from midnight today has been postponed. The strike was adjourned after the minister assured a favorable decision. The strike was announced by the Joint Strike Committee.

The minister said strict action would be taken to curb counterfeit taxi autos, which are the main complaint of the workers. Covid: Restrictions tightened in Delhi
