Three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants shot dead in Kashmir

Pulwama: Authorities said three militants were killed in an encounter in Drabgam area of Pulwama on Sunday. Earlier, two terrorists were killed. A total of three terrorists were killed and a search revealed information about them, police said. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the area. The Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Twitter that the search was on.

One of the terrorists is named Junaid Shirgojri. He was found guilty of involvement in the May 13 killing of policeman Riyaz Ahmed, police said. Earlier, a militant was killed in an encounter between Jammu and Kashmir police in Drabgam area of Pulwama.

Five people were killed when a container hit a car and a bike on the national highway

Kota: Five people were killed and two others were injured when a container truck collided with a car and a bike on National Highway 52 near Acodia village in the Jhalawar district of Rajasthan.

SHO Harwant Singh Randhawa said the accident took place on Saturday evening within the limits of Asnavar police station. Four people from Madhya Pradesh were in the car. The accident happened when they were returning from Kankheda Balaji Temple. The three students, who were riding bikes, were returning home from the examination center. Police said all three were dead. Two people in the car died.
One injured person is being treated at SRG Hospital in Jhalawar and another at Kota Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Balaram Sen, 55, Durga Singh, 45, Nitesh Pareta, 22, Manish Pareta, 20, and Sonu Pareta, 22, of Garot town in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh.  The injured were identified as Kamlesh Meghwal, 26, and Karan Singh, 62, both residents of the Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh.

The container driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene after the incident. The SHO said efforts were underway to arrest him.

Malappuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that some people become criminals under special circumstances and the society does not need to keep them as permanent criminals.

He was speaking after inaugurating the fourth Central Jail in the state at Thavanur, Malappuram.

The CM also said that steps are being taken in the central jails to make the criminals part of the society as good citizens when they are released after serving their sentences. KT Jalil MLA presided over the function. Ministers PA Mohammad Riyaz, V Abdurahman and senior officials from various sections were present. The Chief Minister arrived in Thavanur for the inauguration under heavy security.

New Rules for Advertisement; Fine of Rs.50 L will be imposed for misleading advertisements

New Delhi:  Strict control on misleading advertisements in the country. The central government has said it will impose heavy fines for airing misleading advertisements. At the same time, there was complete control over the advertising of intoxicants and beverages. The guidelines also say that strict action will be taken against advertisements that turn children into superheroes.

The directives issued by the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs came into effect on Friday. Violation of the guidelines under the Consumer Protection Act carries a fine of Rs 10 lakh for the first offense and Rs 50 lakh for repeated offenses.

The guidelines apply to all advertisements published and broadcast in print, visual and online media. In addition, advertisements that sell goods at a discounted price to attract customers are also punishable.

Writer Vimala Menon passes away

Thiruvananthapuram: Famous children’s writer Vimala Menon has passed away. She was 76 years old. She died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. She has received numerous awards, including the State Children’s Literature Award. Vimala Menon was the Principal of Jawahar Bala Bhavan and Trivandrum Special Buds School and was the Unit Chapter Secretary of Cheshire Homes India Thiruvananthapuram for 21 years.

‘Mandakini Says’ is her major children’s literature novel. Burial will be on Sunday evening at Thycaud Cemetery.

Heavy rains are expected in the state today; Yellow alerts in six districts

Thiruvananthapuram: The Met Office has warned of heavy rains in the state. A yellow alert was issued today in six districts of the state based on the forecast of heavy rains. The warning was issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts.

Coastal areas should be especially careful as there is a possibility of heavy rain and strong winds.
The Met Office has warned of heavy rains tomorrow. The yellow alert will be issued in Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts tomorrow.

Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder: Six shooters identified

New Delhi: Delhi Police have identified six-shooters involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Delhi Police Special Commissioner HS Dhaliwal said that Moosewala was killed in a premeditated manner. The main conspirator is Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious criminal.

Musewala was shot dead shortly after the Punjab government temporarily withdrew VIP security provided to 424 people, including Sidhu Musewala. The security of the VIPs was later restored by the government. A Canadian-based gang claimed responsibility for the killings.

Eight killed as vehicle plunges into pond in Bihar

Patna: At least eight people were killed when a vehicle plunged into a pond in Bihar’s Purnia district. The incident took place last night. There were 10 people in the vehicle. Authorities said two of them were rescued.

The accident took place on the way from Tarabadi to Kishanganj. The bodies of the deceased were sent for postmortem.

Anocovax; The first covid vaccine for animals

New Delhi: The first covid vaccine for pets in the country. Anocovax was developed by the ICAR-National Research Center on Equines in Haryana. Anocovax is the first indigenously developed vaccine for animals in the country. The manufacturers claim that the vaccine will protect against Delta and Omicron variants. The vaccine was launched by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar yesterday.

The vaccine is based on the inactivated covid Delta variant. The institute said the Anocovax vaccine is safe for dogs, lions, leopards, rats, and rabbits. The institute has also released antibody detection kits for animals. This kit is fully developed in India.

It is unknown how covid will affect animals. But studies show that covid can be passed from owners to pets through close contact. The covid infection has been detected in 29 species of animals so far. However, studies show that there is no evidence that covid can be transmitted from animals to humans. However, studies have shown that covid infestation in animals may increase the risk of developing new strains.

Chinese air deployment in eastern Ladakh

New Delhi: Warplanes have reportedly been deployed at a Chinese air base adjacent to eastern Ladakh. Reports said that about 25 leading fighter jets are deployed at Houghton Air Base. The move comes after a U.S. military chief warned that China’s military deployment on the Indian border was “suspicious”.
