Equal pay for male and female players; BCCI with historic announcement

New Delhi: India’s men’s and women’s cricketers will henceforth get equal match fee. BCCI General Secretary Jai Shah announced this through his Twitter handle. When the equal match fee announcement is implemented, players will get Rs 15 lakh for Test matches, Rs 6 lakh for ODIs and Rs 3 lakh for T20Is. Former India all-rounder Mithali Raj supported the BCCI’s decision. The star thanked BCCI and Jai Shah.

Meanwhile, it is reported that there may not be a star auction in the Women’s IPL. Instead, there will be a draft system adopted by the Big Bash League as well. Cricbus also reports that there will be an open auction for the teams. The first season of Women’s IPL will be held by March 2023.

Five dead after car runs out of control and hits electric post in UP

Lucknow:  At least five people died in a car accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj district. Four women and a child died. Five people who were seriously injured in the accident were admitted to a nearby hospital.

The accident took place this morning near Handia Toll Plaza in Sangam city. It is reported that Tavera’s car, which was going from Kanpur to Varanasi, hit an electric post. Five people including 4 women and a child died on the spot in the accident.

Five others were seriously injured in the accident. Handia police reached the site and took the injured to the hospital. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased.

Big gold hunt at Nedumbassery airport

Kochi: DRI’s big gold hunt at Kochi International Airport. After receiving confidential information, the DRI team arrived without informing the customs and seized more than 7 kg of gold from the Air India flight that arrived from Dubai. The gold was found hidden under the seat. Six people on the plane have been taken into custody and are being interrogated in detail.

It is suspected that when the gold was left inside the aircraft, the employees of any other agencies related to the airport took this gold and aimed to take it out without customs inspection. In the past few days, the customs have intensified their gold hunt.

Kottayam: African swine fever confirmed in Meenachil panchayat. Based on this, district collector Dr. PK Jayashree, who is the chairperson of the district disaster management authority, informed that precautionary measures have been taken in the district. Bird flu confirmed in Alappuzha: Preventive measures have been intensified

Alappuzha: The death of ducks in Haripad municipality in the district has been confirmed due to bird flu. Following this, an emergency meeting chaired by District Collector VR Krishna Teja decided to intensify preventive measures in these areas.

The presence of H5N1 virus was detected in the samples tested at the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases in Bhopal. The samples were collected from Vashuthanam West and Vashuthanam North paddocks in Ward IX of Haripad Municipality.

The process of killing and bullying the ducks and other birds in the area within one kilometer radius of the confirmed places of the disease will be started as soon as the government instructions are received. For this, eight R.R.T. (Rapid Response Team) have also been set up. The authorities of Haripad Municipality and Pallipad Gram Panchayat have been instructed to provide necessary facilities for culling. 20,471 birds will have to be killed.

In Haripad Municipality, importation and transportation of birds within one kilometer radius of the bird flu confirmed area is prohibited. Police and revenue department officials have been assigned to monitor this properly. The Collector instructed the Health Department to strengthen precautionary measures to prevent bird flu from spreading to humans.

Conflict in the West Bank; Six Palestinians were killed

Jerusalem:  Six Palestinians were killed in an Israeli military operation in the occupied West Bank. Palestinian authorities said that 21 of their citizens were seriously injured in strikes carried out by Israeli forces in various parts of the West Bank. Authorities also alleged that one of the victims was unarmed.

A spokesman for Fatah, one of Palestine’s occupation resistance groups, accused Israeli forces of invading the city of Nablus early on Tuesday. Ali Khalid Antar (26), Mishal Baghdadi (27), Wadi Al Hawa (31), Hamdi Khayyam (30) and Hamdi Muhammad Sharaf (35) were killed in the attack. A 19-year-old youth named Khusey al-Tamimi was also killed in a clash with the Israeli army in the Palestinian capital Ramallah city, officials said. 

Indians were warned to leave Ukraine immediately

Kyiv: The Indian Embassy has advised the remaining Indians in Ukraine to leave Ukraine as soon as possible. The Ministry of External Affairs had earlier issued instructions for the return of Indian citizens in the situation where Russia has intensified its attack on Ukraine.
The Indian Embassy in Kyiv has given instructions to the Indians who are currently in Ukraine to return as soon as possible. The instructions are to cross out through the border checkpoints of neighboring countries of Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova, Poland, and Romania in the western region of Ukraine.

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has informed that passport, resident permit, and student card must be kept in hand. Mallikarjun Kharge took charge as Congress president

Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir; A terrorist was killed by the police

Srinagar: A terrorist was killed by the Jammu and Kashmir police in an encounter in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter took place in Sudpora near the Line of Control.
