Gurugram: Ex-serviceman’s house burglarized in Gurugram. Thieves stole jewelry, cash and watches worth Rs 15 lakh. The theft took place last day at the house of a retired Lt. General in Sector-23.

The theft took place between 1.30pm on October 26 and 1pm on the 27th. When he came to Delhi with his family, the house was robbed. Silver jewels worth Rs 4 lakh, gold jewelry worth Rs 2.5 lakh, diamond earrings worth Rs 2 lakh and luxury watches worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen, according to the complaint lodged by Lt Gen (Retd) HS Bedi.

Based on the complaint, the Palam Vihar police registered an FIR under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 457 (house-trespass) and 380 (burglary in dwelling house). The police informed that they are investigating the incident.

Chandigarh: Massive arms hunt in Punjab. The cache of weapons was seized from Firozpur near the Pakistan border. BSF and Punjab Police jointly conducted the weapons hunt.

Three AK 47 guns, three mini AK 47 guns, three pistols and rifles were recovered. The weapons that were delivered by drone from Pakistan were seized.

New Delhi:  Central government orders NIA probe in Coimbatore blast case. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order in this regard. The Tamil Nadu government had recommended an NIA probe. The recommendation was made in the context of the fact that the police got evidence that strengthened the IS connection of one of the accused and the suspicion of suicide attack. The NIA team reached Coimbatore yesterday and started collecting preliminary information. The NIA had interrogated all the five arrested accused.

Meanwhile, Coimbatore Ukkadam blast mastermind Jamesh Mubin’s cousin, Afsqar Khan, has been arrested. Police have seized a laptop from the house of Afzhar Khan, who is suspected of ordering explosives online. The police are investigating that the 76.5 kg explosives seized from Jamesha Mubin’s house were bought online. The police are also checking who ordered, how the payment was made and where it was delivered. The police suspect that the three-quarter quintal explosive stockpile was kept for more attacks. The police also found that the car that exploded used to be parked at the house of Afsqar, who was arrested today. Police are checking every suspicious vehicle in the city. A special meeting was held in Coimbatore to assess the law and order situation.
