Delhi liquor policy scam; ED recorded the arrest of Mumbai Malayali businessman Vijay Nair

New Delhi: ED recorded the arrest of Mumbai Malayalee businessman Vijay Nair in the Delhi liquor scam. Vijay Nair, who is currently in CBI custody, was arrested while the bail plea was being considered.

Vijay Nair is also the head of the communication department of Aam Aadmi Party. Another accused Abishek and Vijay Nair were working for some liquor businessmen in South India. Both are currently in jail.

Both will be taken into custody by the ED court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Both of them applied for bail stating that there is no need for further interrogation in CBI custody.

But the CBI’s argument is that Vijay Nair conspired with some others and that’s how Delhi’s liquor policy was formed. The CBI also alleged that Abhishek Boinpally was also involved in the formulation of liquor policy along with the liquor businessmen of Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad and reaped its benefits.

ED has conducted around 169 searches and arrested many people in connection with this case.

The woman died after being injured in her husband’s acid attack

Malappuram: Pandikkad woman injured in the acid attack (acid attack) of her husband died. Fashana Sherin, a native of Chembrasseri Ambalakalli, Pandikkad, who was undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College, died.

Shanavas, a native of Vandoor, who sustained burns during the attack, is undergoing treatment. Fashana’s husband attacked her one week ago.

Rohingya refugees crossing India-Bangladesh international border; arrested

New Delhi: Rohingya refugees who entered India illegally were arrested by the police in Agartala. Tripura police arrested six persons including two children after taking them into custody.

During the interrogation, the detained persons admitted that they had crossed the India-Bangladesh International Border at Dhanpur under Jatrapur Police Station in Tripura’s Sepahijala District.

Assistant Inspector General Jyotishman Das Chaudhary said that a separate case has been registered against them for further legal action. During interrogation, it was revealed that most of them were from the Kutupalong Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. One is from a refugee camp in Chittagong.

Meanwhile, the police had arrested 15 Rohingya refugees from different parts of Tripura a week ago. Tripura shares a 856 km border with Bangladesh. Sepahijala district shares a large part of the Indo-Bangla border.

Rohingyas are the most persecuted minority in the world according to the United Nations report. The Rohingyas are a Muslim group who speak the Rohingya language and have lived in Myanmar for centuries. Those who are not considered among the 135 tribal groups in Myanmar have had no citizenship in Myanmar since 1982.

Chance of widespread rain in the state for three days; Orange alert in Idukki

Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of widespread rain in the state for three days. An orange alert has been issued in the Idukki district today because of heavy rainfall. 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm of rain is forecast in 24 hours. A yellow alert has been announced today in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts. 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is expected in 24 hours.

A yellow alert was declared in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur districts on Sunday, and Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts on Monday. The Central Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in some districts, but as there is a possibility of isolated heavy thundershowers in the hilly areas, caution should be exercised similar to the orange alert in the hilly areas that have received heavy rains in the past few days.

The Central Meteorological Department has informed us that no fishing should be done on Kerala coasts from today till tomorrow and on Lakshadweep coasts till Monday. Thiruvananthapuram:  The secretary of District Tourism Promotion Council informed that children up to eleven years of age will be allowed free entry to Veli and Akkulam tourist villages in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. The decision is considering November 14 on the occasion of Children’s Day. The action is on the instructions of the District Collector who is the Chairman of the District Tourism Promotion Council.

Two people, including a Nigerian, were arrested with MDMA

Walayar: Two people, including a Nigerian, were arrested with 170 grams of MDMA. Walayar police and the district anti-narcotics squad arrested both of them from Bengaluru. This is the biggest case of MDMA caught by Palakkad District Police. The Nigerian native was selling MDMA based in Bangalore.

Abhijit, a native of Pala, was arrested along with him. The district police chief said that those arrested are the main ones in drug smuggling to Kerala. Three people were arrested in Walayar last month.

Based on the information received from them, the gang was arrested after reaching Bengaluru. Africans are selling drugs in Bangalore. The police also learned that they have connections with gangs in Kerala. Palakkad district police chief R Vishwanath and ASP Shahul Hameed were conducting the investigation.
