ISRO just made history! The Chandrayaan three Vikram lander has flown again on the lunar surface, and this time it’s even more impressive. The Vikram Lander has successfully soft-landed after flying a whopping 40 cm from the lunar surface. That’s right, you heard it here first – ISRO has demonstrated critical technology for future missions, and we couldn’t be more excited!

But that’s not all, folks. On August 23, the Vikram lander took off from the landing site and crossed a height and distance of 40 cm before landing at a new location. This is ISRO’s second soft landing on the lunar surface, and it’s a huge milestone for the Indian space agency. The rover and payloads, including Chaste and Ilsa, were then deployed, and after landing safely at the new location, the payloads were reactivated.

All systems of the lander performed nominally and were healthy. “Deployed Ramp, Chandra’s Surface Thermo physical Experiment (ChaSTE) and Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) were folded back and redeployed successfully after the experiment.” ISRO has truly outdone themselves, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve next!

On September 2, 2023, ISRO’s Aditya L1 was successfully launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. This remarkable feat marks the beginning of a new era in space-based observatory class studies of the Sun.

Aditya-L1 is a revolutionary spacecraft that will enable us to study the Sun like never before. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is powered by ISRO’s reliable Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). This means that we can expect accurate and reliable data from Aditya-L1, which will help us understand the Sun’s behaviour and its impact on our planet. 

Through the official X account, ISRO has informed that PSLV-C57/Aditya-L1 Mission: The launch of Aditya-L1 by PSLV-C57 is accomplished successfully. The vehicle has placed the satellite precisely into its intended orbit. India’s first solar observatory has begun its journey to the destination of Sun-Earth L1 point.

The inaugural solar mission of the nation, Aditya-L1, is equipped with seven distinct payloads to conduct an extensive examination of the sun. Four of these payloads will facilitate the observation of solar light, while the remaining three will measure the in-situ parameters of plasma and magnetic fields. The Aditya-L1 mission is anticipated to arrive at the observation point in 126 days, which is equivalent to four months. Nevertheless, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has yet to announce a definitive date or time for the mission.
