The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched its Aditya L1 solar mission on September 2, 2023. The mission is India’s first solar mission and will study the Sun’s atmosphere and its effects on the Earth’s atmosphere and climate.
The Aditya L1 spacecraft was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. It was carried on a PSLV-C57 rocket. The spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered an elliptical orbit around the Earth. It will take about 109 days for the spacecraft to reach its final destination, a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange point L1.
The Aditya L1 spacecraft is equipped with seven payloads that will study different aspects of the Sun. These payloads include:
A visible emission line coronagraph (VLEC) to study the Sun’s corona
A solar extreme ultraviolet spectrometer (SEUVS) to study the Sun’s extreme ultraviolet radiation
A solar X-ray spectrometer (SXS) to study the Sun’s X-ray radiation
A solar energetic particle (SEP) detector to study solar energetic particles
A magnetometer to study the Sun’s magnetic field
A plasma analyzer to study the Sun’s plasma
A white light imager to take images of the Sun
The Aditya L1 mission is expected to last for five years. It is a significant step forward in India’s space program and will help us to better understand the Sun and its effects on our planet.

September 28th is the scheduled release date of Salaar and the movie will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Get ready for another action-packed blockbuster from the King of Bollywood himself, Shah Rukh Khan! After the massive success of Pathaan, SRK is back with Jawan, directed by the hitmaker Atlee. When news broke that SRK and Atlee were teaming up, I was completely shocked – but in the best way possible! Atlee is known for his commercial filmmaking style and has previously delivered super hits with Thalapathy Vijay. Now, he’s bringing his magic to SRK’s latest venture, and I can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked up for us.

Jawan is set to release on September 7th in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, and it’s already one of the most hyped movies of this year. As a die-hard SRK fan, I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Jawan, and I’m sure I’m not alone. That’s a testament to the star power of SRK and the excitement surrounding this movie. Will the SRK-Atlee combo work? We’ll have to wait and see until September 7th.
3: Kushi
The announcement of Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu teaming up for a sizzling romantic flick called Kushi has sent shockwaves across the internet. I was thrilled to hear about this and my excitement reached new heights when I discovered that the film would be directed by the talented Shiva Nirvana. The interesting fact is Kushi will be a crucial film for Vijay Deverakonda, and Samantha and also for the director because their previous film had terribly failed to perform well at the box-office.
The advance booking in the Telugu states is in full swag and the movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The teaser and trailer of the film had got an overwhelming response and the songs are already in the hit chart. So, I hope Kushi will offer a grand comeback for the three of them and the movie will be released on September 1st.

Vishal is feeling pretty optimistic about his upcoming film, Mark Antony, directed by the talented Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame. In fact, he’s so confident in the film that he gave a sneak peek of the teaser to none other than Tamil superstar Vijay. The teaser has got a tremendous response and I’m eagerly waiting to see the world of Mark Antony.

The new exciting news coming out from the world of Malayalam film industry is that the film industry in Kerala has finally lifted the ban on two of its most promising young stars, Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi. Fans of these up-and-coming actors can now breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to seeing them light up the silver screen once again.
In April of this year, AMMA, FEFKA (19 different organizations), and the producers association, along with producer Renjith, stated that the behavior of actors Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi had gone too far. Until they improve their behavior, no one in the industry will work with them.
The associations withdrew the ban on Sreenath Bhasi and Shane Nigam after Bhasi apologized to the associations and Nigam agreed to make changes. In April, the Producers Association president Renjith M announced that the actors were excluded, but clarified that it was not a ban as producers could still choose to work with them. Renjith accused the actors of causing issues on set due to drug use, lateness, and double-booking. He also claimed they showed disrespect to directors, producers, and senior actors. However, when questioned by the ED, Navya Nair denied any such relationship or closeness, stating that they are friends.
On June 27, 2023, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) apprehended Sachin Balasaheb Sawant, who held the position of Additional Commissioner of Customs, in Lucknow, on charges related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The Cabinet has graciously sanctioned an additional subsidy of Rs 200 under the Ujjwala scheme, thereby reducing the financial burden on beneficiaries by a total of Rs 400.
During the Union cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Centre implemented a reduction in the prices of cooking gas by ₹200 per cylinder for all domestic consumers. This decision was accompanied by the cabinet’s approval of an additional subsidy under the Ujjwala scheme, amounting to ₹200. As a result, beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will now receive a total subsidy of ₹400 per cylinder.
The Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries will experience a reduction in the price of an LPG cylinder by Rs 400, consisting of a price cut of Rs 200 and an existing subsidy of Rs 200. Conversely, non-beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will only receive a price cut of Rs 200. This price reduction will take effect from August 30. The government has announced its intention to provide 75 lakh new gas connections free of charge to expedite the processing of applications related to the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). This initiative will increase the number of PMUY beneficiaries to 10.35 crore.

And this time, it’s going to be out of this world! Get ready to witness history in the making as ISRO launches its first-ever space-based solar observatory, Aditya-L1, on September 2.
This is a momentous occasion for ISRO as it marks India’s first dedicated mission to study the Sun. Aditya-L1 is set to revolutionize our understanding of the Sun and its impact on our planet. And the best part? The spacecraft will be placed in a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system, approximately 1.5 million kilometers from Earth. This strategic positioning will allow continuous observation of the Sun without any eclipses or occultations.
The Aditya-L1 mission will study the Sun from an orbit around the L1. It will carry seven payloads to observe the photosphere, chromosphere, and corona in different wavebands. According to an ISRO official, Aditya-L1 is a fully indigenous effort with the participation of national institutions.
The Aditya-L1 mission is primarily focused on achieving several key scientific objectives. These objectives include the investigation of the dynamics of the solar upper atmosphere, specifically the chromosphere and corona. Additionally, the mission aims to study the heating of the chromosphere and corona, the physics of partially ionized plasma, the initiation of coronal mass ejections and flares, and the in-situ particle and plasma environment. The latter provides valuable data for the study of particle dynamics originating from the Sun, as well as the physics of the solar corona and its heating mechanism.
Furthermore, the Aditya-L1 mission seeks to examine the diagnostics of the coronal and coronal loops plasma, including temperature, velocity, and density. The mission also aims to investigate the development, dynamics, and origin of coronal mass ejections, as well as identify the sequence of processes that occur at multiple layers, such as the chromosphere, base, and extended corona, which ultimately lead to solar eruptive events. Additionally, the mission will explore magnetic field topology and magnetic field measurements in the solar corona, as well as drivers for space weather, including the origin, composition, and dynamics of solar wind.
To achieve these objectives, the instruments of the Aditya-L1 mission have been specifically designed to observe the solar atmosphere, with a particular focus on the chromosphere and corona. In-situ instruments will also be utilized to observe the local environment at the L1 point.
