Surya Film award mega show held at Cochin, was a dynamic and vibrant event. But the unexpected rain came as villan of the show. But it was not at all a problem for the big crowd gathered there. Best Malayalam film of last year was ‘Pranayam’. Mohan Lal bagged the best actor award for his role in Pranayam. Best actress award was bagged by Kavya Madhavan for her challenging role in film ‘Bhakthajanangauldae Sradhykku’. Director Renjith got ‘best director’ award for his film ‘Indian Rupee’.
