There is nothing surprising or excellent in the movie ,only i could see frame to frame copy of ”BUTTERFLIES ON A WHEEL” ( Canadian Movie starring our favorite Former James bond-peirce brosnan), shot to shot scene to scene copy cat. Anoop says its an inspired movie but there is lot difference in getting inspired and copying a thing.Leave the story and script what is the excuse for resemblance in camera angles,editing and ofcourse in lighting???
I am yet to see this movie, but from the sounds of it, this is a remake of Butterfly on a wheel. I believe Jayasurya does the paralle of peirce brosnan. Good leap into a different genre. Was getting a tad bit tired of the same repititive comedy and sob stories. Good on ya Jayasurya, He is one of my fav actors. always experimenting roles and looks 🙂

cocktail is a superb movie ,a different and a relevant subject , beutifully handled by the new director Arun Kumar…….all malayalies must watch this film……It ‘ll be a super hit………i am sure……..
My comment is simply…”WOW!”…. One of the best movies ive ever seen in malayalam….There are no characters in the film which proves unimportant…. Amazing script and amazing direction… Jayasurya is simply awesome….hes such a versatile actor… and he songs are very different from that we hear nowadays… the main thing to be appreciated —are dialogues—there are no indecent or vulgar languages.. and the words are carefully chosen and twists and climax is impeccable… the entire crew deserves an applause…. the director Arun Kumar has a lot of potential.
superb movie…..must watch……other malayalam movies shud follow this pattern instead of adding comedy scenes or fights which r not appropriate for the story. i am very happy with this film bcoz there s no salim kumar or suraaj to irritate.though it is a malayalam version of “butterfly on the wheel”, i appreciate the entire team for thier attempt to present the film like this.dialouges r superb, anoop nd arun deserve the credits. jayasurya rocks
Cocktail new malayalam movie review
Cocktail is a successful attemp in malayalam industry for a different movie. Director Arun kumar with his debut movie proves his talent. Excellent acting by Anoop menon who has also written the dialogues of the movie is the main positive of the movie. Jayasurya, and samvritha has supported him well.
Its a road movie that showcases the incidents happening in a single day. Superb climax makes every audient to leave theatre clapping. Mouth publicity will surely make the movie a hit.
