Veteran actress Sukumari’s funeral happened at 3.45 pm in Chennai Basanth Nagar crematorium. There was no extravagancy in the case of official honors like in Kerala. There are only hundreds of people including relatives and friends. Sukumar’s body exhibited at her residence in Chennai T. Nagar after postmortem. Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar dedicated reeth for Chief Minister Oommen chandy Chandy. Mamooty,Dileep,Parvathy, Anoop Menon,Lissy,Sreekumaran Thambi, Krishna, Jomol,Rekha, Sheela ,K.R. Vijay and Tamil veteran actress Manorama came to pay homage for their beloved colleague.
