Innana Kalyanam is about two friends who study in KMCT College for Engineering; Neelima by Malavika and Aisha by Saranya Mohan act as these characters. Karthik by Rajat Menon comes from a poor family and is a student in the same college. Karthik loves Aisha, while Neelima loves Karthik. Film tells the story how these characters absolve their misunderstanding and what will happen in the end.
Rajasenan
From the height of Malayalam filmdom, Rajasenan has fallen off. He has been making flops for a long time now. What was the thing which made him the king of comedy capers? Script from eminent like Rafi Mecartin.
Rajasenan is a good director, but viewers have changed a lot. They are getting world class entertainment and we have to match it to compete those. Even our local soda has to compete to Pepsi; Masala Dosa with Pizza.
The film which is told in the backdrop of family and campus is at best an average show. If Neelima said about her love to Karthik there will be no story. So the thread is stretched to maximum that it broke in the beginning itself. Even her friend Aisha won’t be allowed to say it just because the film will end.
Acting
Rejath Menon is good. He has got natural acting talent but needs some good films to get more attention. Sarnya Mohan has acted well.
Malavika is looking fresh as a daisy. She has great similarity with actress Sindu Menon. Jagathy seems to be overacting in this time of subtle acting. Bindu Panicker, Suraj Venjaramood, Indrans, Maniyan Pillai Raju and Saikumar are ok. Mamukoya appears in a 2 scenes. Roshan who acted as Kunjumon has a catchy face and has acted well.
Camera: Nothing much from Vinod Illamballi. The jib shots taken were amateurish.
Music: No peppy numbers from Bijibal.
Script and dialogue by Rajasenan suits the film well.
Innana Kalyanam has nothing, not even a problem which needs attention.

Some predictions for 2012
Making a film was a distant dream for many, but this is the time when revolution bangs the film industry. With the arrival of HD digital camera anyone can make a film. By this time next year, I expect at least 150 films to be released and more than that will be waiting in hard disks to be released like genie in a bottle.
Currently Satellite rights are the backbone of Malayalam films. With the arrival of loads of digital films, this will drastically come down, especially for films with less number of stars. In near future, television channels will start producing feature films. More people will get opportunity to work in film industry while the remuneration of stars will skyrocket. New stars will be born
The number of theatres has gone down to just 400+ in Kerala. So even if a film is released it will be changed before it gets noticed. For big producers, there will be no other go, than wide release. More small theatres with multiplex facilities will be made.
Script
Beautiful is the story of friendship between Steven Louis and John. The protagonist Steven (Jayasurya) is paralyzed except for his head. His positive attitude is what drives him in his life.
India is a land where even copy cats are respected. Most Hindi films are plagiarized; we have people specialized in Malayalam too. The respect we give to these people is also the disrespect or utter lack of reverence to the creators.
Hope Beautiful is an original film.
After Delhi Belly, it has became inevitable to add a fart scene in every new – generation movie. This is followed in Beautiful too. Anoop Menon’s script and dialogues are refreshing as a breeze. Some scenes are connected with scenes from Padmarajan movies.
Camera
The difference between film and video is getting erased even in the eyes of fervent film lovers. This was not the case a year ago. Jomon T John has done his job well and took a different approach than his Chappa Kurishu.
Editing
With the arrival of Mahesh Narayanan, VKP has studied that using white flash is a banal idea.
Music
Songs and BGM.by Ratheesh Wega is clever.
Acting
After each film, Jayasurya is becoming a better actor. Like Mammootty he changes to the character. Meghna Raj is beautiful as always. Everyone including Jayan needs thumbs up for their performance. Anoop Menon proved his stuff. Tiny tom was good. It seems like; Malayalam is getting many good actors.
Box Office
People have belief in Jayasurya. Many are flocking to theatres. The exam season and steady collection for Swapna Sanchari may hamper ‘Beautiful’, still there is hope for this small movie. The film is shot economically and it seems to be a profitable venture.
Beautiful is a cool clean film. Malayalam has got a director who understands what subtlety is.
Verdict – Hit.

VIMALA UNDER PRESSURE
Vimala Raman who have done a projective role in the movie, Dam 999 is in shock hearing the controversial issue, Mullaperiyar. She said she had never thought that this movie could turn to be the most subjective one as it turned to be a hard hit for the recent issue on dam. As an explanation she said she was born and brought up in Australia that she was unaware of the happenings in Kerala. She is sad that her movie got banned in Tamil Nadu. She added that she was very much impressed about the story line and the role she had in the movie. “Sohan Roy, director of the movie very well narrated the story, that I decided to do the work”, said Vimala Raman. She have done many significant roles in many movies like, Nasrani, College Kumaran, Romeo and many more.

NAAYIKA SHOOK THE FILM INDUSTRY
Jayaram and Padmapriya starring Naayika have already created controversies in the industry. As the trend follows, the movie shows the olden times in the industry. Directly ir indirectly the story line shows the death of the beautiful actress Vijayasri who commited suicide due to some personal reasons. According to Naayika, Vijayasri commited suicide when her nude videos were publicized by the camera man who took those videos secretly. Not only that, the movie resembles the name of many famous personlities. Jayaraj is the director of the movie, who have well studied the history and projected in the movie. Another, important marking is that, Jayaram is immortalizing Prem Nazeer through out the movie, and very well shows the most talked relation, Nazeer- Sheela. The movie also shows that, Satyan Master was died due to blood cancer. Reflections of Kunchako, Navodaya Appachan also have slightly shown in the movie who were the director and producer of “Ponampuram Kotta”, which was the last movie of Vijayasri and the reason behind her death. The busy actor Prithvi is kicked out from Roshan Andrews’s new project, “Mumbai Police.” It was earlier reported that Prithvi will be the hero, but due to some circumstances the director had to change his word.
