Education Minister Ali al-Mudaf said there would be no classes on Monday in schools and universities. School exams scheduled for Monday have been postponed.

UAE Global Tourism officials said the Global Village was closed for the safety of visitors. The Global Village is a place that is visited by thousands of visitors every day. It will be reopened on Monday from 4 p.m. Thundershowers and hailstorms are expected until Tuesday, the Met Office said.
