Thiruvananthapuram: The school annual examination up to class IX has been canceled in the state. The class promotion will be based on continuous evaluation and worksheets. All passes up to class VIII will be extended to nine this time.
The school annual exams up to the ninth grade are excluded in the context of Covid. Getting children to school together can lead to the spread of covid. Following Covid’s guidelines, it is impractical to conduct exams for 30 lakh children at a time. Therefore, the decision has been made to give the class promotion based on continuous evaluation.
Besides, projects provided to students as part of online classes will be considered. Besides, worksheets will be provided to students. The Curriculum Committee approved the worksheets prepared by Sarva Shiksha Kerala. It will be given to students and repurchased.
