Thiruvananthapuram: The police arrested Basit, who is accused in the recruitment fraud case. Basit was taken into custody by the Cantonment police team from Mancheri. Basit was not present despite being called twice earlier for questioning.
At the same time, Haridasan has confessed that he lied that he had paid money to Akhil Mathew in the premises of Haridasan Secretariat Annex 2. After the allegations against the Health Minister’s office were raised, the contradictions in Haridasan’s statements raised doubts. After this, Haridasan changed his statement again. Haridasan explained that the money was paid in Thiruvananthapuram but he was not sure whether it was Akhil Mathew who bought it.
