Financial Fraud case: High court stays arrest of Sunny Leone

Thiruvananthapuram: The High Court has stayed the arrest of actress Sunny Leone in a financial fraud case. The High Court is considering Sunny Leone’s anticipatory bail. The court also ruled that the High Court had no objection to questioning Sunny Leone.
She is accused of cheating Rs 29 lakh by promising to attend various inaugural functions in Kochi. The complainant is a native of Perumbavoor. The complainant later alleged that she had cheated of Rs 16 lakh by promising to attend the event in Bahrain. Following this, Sunny Leone was questioned by the Crime Branch.

Sunny Leone told the Crime Branch that she did not attend the inauguration ceremony in Kochi on purpose. Sunny Leone had made it clear that she had been given five renewed dates after the scheduled ceremony did not take place but the organizers were unable to hold the ceremony.
