Thiruvananthapuram: Department of Health proposes to increase antigen testing in the state. For this, antigen testing booths will be set up in slums, coastal areas, and rural areas. There will be 24-hour booths in cities, railway stations and bus stands.

RTPCR should not be performed again on those who have been positive once. Covid-free patients do not need to be examined when they leave the hospital. The new proposal is in line with ICMR guidelines. There is also a proposal to increase RTPCR testing through mobile labs.
