Thiruvananthapuram: Rain will continue in the state today. The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of isolated heavy rains in Central Kerala and North Kerala. Yellow alert in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur districts. Caution should be maintained in hilly areas. The public should be alert as there is a chance of thunderstorms and wind along with the rain. Due to the possibility of strong winds and bad weather, the fishing ban will continue on the Karnataka coast. There is no restriction on fishing on the Kerala-Lakshadweep coast. Fishermen and coastal residents should be cautious as there is a possibility of high waves and storm surges on the Kerala coast.
