Chennai: Three children were killed when the wall of a school toilet collapsed. Two students died at the scene and one died at the hospital. Three people with serious injuries are being treated at a nearby hospital.
The accident took place this morning at a private high school called Town Chapter near the museum at Palayamkottai in Tamil Nadu’s Nellie district. The rescue operation was carried out jointly by the police and the fire force. Neighbors, including parents, thronged the school. Tensions are high in the Nellie Town area following the incident. Students are also protesting.
