New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India has imposed a fine of Rs 133.76 crore on Google. A huge fine has been imposed for exploiting Android mobile phones for commercial purposes. Other similar apps were also found to have limited functionality. The Competition Commission also warned against unfair marketing practices.
The commission also directed that no financial offers be made to smartphone manufacturers to use Google’s search engine. Google India has not responded to the issue.
