Kolkatta: The temple wall collapsed during the Krishna Jayanti celebrations, killing four people. 27 people were injured. The incident took place at a temple in the Kachua area of North 24 Parganas, news agency ANI tweeted.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased. One lakh for severely injured and Rs. 50,000 for others with minor injuries. But the cause of the temple wall collapse is unclear.
