RBI banned Paytm from opening new accounts

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has banned Paytm Payment Bank from opening new accounts. An audit firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of the IT system

RBI has directed PDM to appoint. After reviewing the report of the IT auditors, it was decided that new customers could be included subject to approval. The RBI said in a statement.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed PDM not to include new customers in PDM Bank and to direct any IT audit company to conduct audits under Regulation Act 35A.
