Petrol and diesel prices continue to rise in the country

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices have continued to rise in the country. In metropolitan areas, petrol is priced at around Rs 100. Today, companies have hiked petrol prices by 24 paise. In Kochi, petrol costs Rs 93.35 and, diesel Rs 88.62. In Thiruvananthapuram, the current price is 95.42 per liter and diesel 90.63 per liter.

In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 99 71 paise. Diesel is priced at Rs 91 and 57 paise. In Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, where petrol crossed Rs 100 for the first time in the country, petrol is now priced at Rs 104.42 per liter. 97.18 for diesel and Rs. In Bhopal too, petrol has crossed Rs 100 per liter. The price here is 101.52. Diesel is at 92.77.

This is the thirteenth increase in fuel prices in the country this month. In Delhi, petrol is currently priced at Rs 93.44 and diesel at Rs 84.32. Petrol price has been hiked by Rs 2.89 and diesel by Rs 3.41 this month.

At present, the central and state taxes on various states are 61 percent on petrol and 56 percent on diesel. The central excise duty on petrol is 32.9 percent and on diesel 31.80 percent.
