They are currently undergoing a clinical trial with the permission of the DGCI (Drug Controller General of India). At the same time, it is reported that the first phase of the clinical trial has been approved. Recently, there were reports that the nasal vaccine developed by the American company Altimmune was effective. The study also found that these are most beneficial in children.
The virus enters the body through the nose and mouth. The company claims that these will help eliminate the virus that enters the nose. Altimmun’s nasal vaccine is being tested in people between the ages of 18 and 55. Nasal spray vaccines claim to be cheaper and more effective than injectable vaccines.
