Kottayam: The postmortem report of Bindu, who died after a building collapse at a medical college, has revealed that the cause of death was injuries to internal organs. Heavy objects reportedly fell on her body, leading to severe damage.
According to the inquest report, concrete pillars fell on Bindu, fracturing her skull. Her face also sustained severe injuries, and about 75% of her head was crushed.
Rib fractures were also noted. The findings contradict earlier claims that she died due to suffocation. Rescue operations reportedly began after a delay of around two and a half hours, which is believed to have contributed to her death.
