New Delhi: Four more covid-19 vaccines are in various stages of testing and one developed by Genique Life Sciences is in the advanced pre-clinical phase, Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh has said.
In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Singh said that the DNA-based vaccine candidate of Cadila Healthcare Limited is in the third phase of clinical trial and has submitted interim data for immediate use approval.
Vaccine candidate of Biological E Ltd. and Adeno Intranasal Vaccine Candidate of Bharat Biotech International Ltd. are in the third phase of clinical trials. Genoa Biopharmaceuticals Limited MRNA vaccine candidate is in the first phase of the clinical trial.
The vaccine candidate for Gurgaon-based Genetic Life Sciences Pvt Ltd is in the advanced pre-clinical phase, he said. On Tuesday, India administered 31.79 lakh Covid vaccine doses. The total vaccination coverage reached 41.52 crores.
