Do not say hello anymore; the Maharashtra government made ‘Vande Mataram’ mandatory instead of ‘Hello’

Mumbai: The word ‘hello’ is an imitation of western culture and henceforth the government of Maharashtra has proposed to make it mandatory to use the greeting ‘Vande Mataram’ instead of ‘hello’ while receiving phone calls.

With this, the new order will be mandatorily applicable to employees working in government-aided institutions apart from government offices. In addition, the Public Administration Department issued an order to create awareness among those who come to meet them in government offices.
