New Delhi: The ban on international flights has been extended to 28th of next month due to the rapid spread of covid in the country. The decision was issued by the DGCA. Many states are preparing to tighten controls as covid figures rise. At the same time, there are statistics that covid is spreading rapidly in the southern states. In the last few days, there has been a huge increase in covid figures in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and other states.

Covid confirmed 2,82,970 more people in the country in the last 24 hours. 441 more deaths were reported. At present, more than 18 lakh people are being treated for Covid. Test positivity rate is 15.13%. So far, 8,961 people have been confirmed to have the Omicron variant.
