Banks will be fined if they no longer have cash in ATMs

New Delhi: Banks are being asked to levy fines for the non-availability of cash at ATMs. The RBI has said it will start implementing the new proposal on October 1.

Penalties are imposed for not having cash at ATMs for more than 10 hours. The new order will apply to banks and white label ATM networks, with a penalty of Rs 10,000. The RBI has sent a circular to banks in this regard.
