Covaxin will get approval from WHO soon

New Delhi: Covaxin, a covid vaccine developed in India, is expected to be approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) this week. Currently, only Covishield in India got approval for emergency use from the WHO. The Russian-made Sputnik vaccine is also in the process of being approved for use. Six vaccines, including Covishield, are licensed for use by the WHO. Obstacles to those taken covaxin and want to go abroad will change with approval.

Covaxin maker Bharat Biotech has said it will soon receive WHO approval. The vaccine is licensed for use based on factors such as quality, safety, and efficacy.
