Thiruvananthapurm: On the occasion of Onam 2023, it has been decided to distribute free Onam kit containing essential items to AAY card holders and residents of welfare institutions in the state. 32 crores will be allocated to Supplyco in advance for this. 6,07,691 kits will be distributed. There are 5,87,691 AAY cards. 20,000 kits will be given to residents of welfare institutions. The kit will be distributed through ration shops.
Materials in OnKit
The kit contains tea, chickpeas, semiya payasam mix, ghee, cashew nuts, coconut oil, sambar powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chickpeas, tuvar dal, powdered salt and a cloth bag.
