The popular actor Vishal Krishna and Tollywood queen Tammanah Bhatia starring Kaththi Sandai was released under the prestigious Madras Banner on Friday, December 23, 2016. The film is produced by S. Nandagopal Vishal and directed by Suraj. It's an action-packed drama with thrilling action sequences that would force the viewers to sit on the edge of their seats, the trailer of this flick was released on Friday, 04 November.
The main lead being played by Vishal and Tammanah promises to scorch the screen with their fresh chemistry spiced by the sexy and sultry look of Tamannaah. One of the biggest attractions of the movie is the return of comedy king Vadivelu to the screen after a long gap and with Soori to assist him the movie will certainly have the audience in squeals of laughter.
The director Suraj has teamed up with Vishal Krishna for the first time in this film. Kaththi Sandai, which is being dubbed into Telugu as Okkadochadu, has Tamannaah Bhatia in the female lead. Her ultra-glamorous avatars have caught the attention of the masses. Comedian Vadivelu, who has not been seen much in films for the last five years, has a lengthy role in the film.
Jagapathi Babu, who had played the role of a baddie in Rajinikanth's Lingaa, is enacting the role of an antagonist in the flick, which has Soori, Tarun Arora, Jayaprakash and others in the cast. The film has Richard M Nathan's cinematography and Selva RK's editing. Hip-hop Tamizha has scored the music and Naan Konjam Karuppu Thaan and Idhayam Idhayam songs from the album have struck the chord with the listeners.
Kaththi Sandai is not about physical fight, it is rather about mind games. It is an out-and-out comedy film which is about the hero trying his best to win the heart of his sweetheart despite facing troubles from doctor played by Vadivelu.
The film has already faced a delay in its release. The film was initially slated for a release in November but the demonetization drive and other factors led to the release being scheduled for Pongal, in January next year.
The producers are also not taking any risk as the movie was said to be made on a hefty budget. The makers have said that songs and the action sequences have been picturised very lavishly, noting that the movie will be the "costliest movie in Vishal's career". The movie reportedly had just shot a big chase sequence on a budget of Rs 1.5 crore.
