Magistrates and Sub-Judges are now Civil Judges

Thiruvananthapuram: The cabinet meeting has decided to rename the posts of Munsiff-Magistrate and Sub-Judge/Chief Judicial Magistrate in the Kerala Judicial Service.

Redesignation of Munsif-Magistrate as Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Sub Judge / Chief Judicial Magistrate as Civil Judge (Senior Division). For this, the Kerala Judicial Service Rules, 1991 will be amended. The change is as per the instructions of the Supreme Court.
