Thiruvananthapuram: Cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal likely to become strong. Severe rainfall will hit in the state, the Meteorological Department said today. Yellow Alert announced today in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur and Malappuram districts. These districts may receive up to seven centimeters of rain.

The Bulbul has currently become a strong hurricane, is moving off the coast of Odisha and off the coast of West Bengal and Bangladesh.

New Delhi: The apex court permitted to build the temple in the disputed land in the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case. The land to built Masjid is permitted outside the disputed land in Ayodhya. According to reports, 2.77 acres of land is alotted to construct the temple. And 5 acres of land allotted for the Masjid.

The Allahabad High Court verdict- equally shared the disputed land for three-party was canceled by the Supreme Court. The center should start the works to build Temple and Masjid within three months.

The bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi pronounced the verdict. Justice S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Asok Bhushan, Abdul Nazir also were present.

The pronouncing of the verdict started at 10.30 am. The Court pointed out that the verdict is completely based on historical evidence.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Unified Check Post and Passenger Terminal at Kartarpur corridor in Gurdaspur, Punjab. He also paid homage to the Beersahib Gurudwara at Sultanpur Lodhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also flags off the first pilgrimage corridor. It is to facilitate Indian pilgrims to visit the Gurdwara of Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan. The first group includes former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, MPs and Punjab MLAs and 500 pilgrimages. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participates in a public event organized at Dera Baba Nanak. Fifty immigration counters have been set up to accommodate five thousand pilgrims per day in a fully air-conditioned terminal that resembles an airport. The 300-foot-tall national memorial flag has also been raised on the international border. Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was commissioned on October 24, as part of an agreement signed with Pakistan. The corridor can be used by all religious pilgrims and Indian nationals. Pilgrims must carry an OCI card along with their passport even if they do not require a visa for the trip. Kartarpur was inaugurated on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji.

Kochi: Actress Manju Warrier’s secret statement in a complaint against director VA Sreekumar Menon recorded today. The statement was recorded in Chavakkad Magistrate’s Court. Two and a half hours spent on taking a secret statement. Manju has complained that Sreekumar Menon has made a mockery of him through the social media and death threat against her.

Manju made a statement in front of Magistrate K.B. Veena under Section 164 of Criminal Procedure. Manju reached to court around 4 pm.

It is learned that the statements made by Manju to the police have been repeated to the magistrate.

Container lorry crashes into Maruti van; 12 people died

Chittoor: At least 12 people were killed when a container truck and a Maruti van collided. The accident happened in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Three people were seriously injured in the incident. The injured were taken to a hospital. They are undergoing special treatment.

The incident occurred yesterday on the Bangalore-Chennai highway. Eight of the victims were women. The container lorry which was out of control collided with the van was coming from Palani.

12 died on the spot. Three critically injured passengers in the other vehicle were rushed to the hospital by residents.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Kartarpur corridor between India and Pakistan at Gurdaspur today. After partition, the region was included in Pakistan.

This is a pilgrimage for the Sikhs and has been fulfilling the demand for years. The first Indian delegation will cross the corridor and proceed to Kartarpur. Pakistan has said it will not collect first day fees from pilgrims from India.

India and Pakistan have agreed to permit 5000 pilgrims every day. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Sunny Deol MP will be part of the team.

Private bus collision in Poothakulam; 10 injured

Paravur: Ten persons were injured when a private bus collided with another bus at Poothakulam Veppinmoodu. Private buses Siva Parvathy and Arjun collided with each other at Veppumoodu at 12.45 pm on Thursday.The injured are Arya Sudheesh (22), Priyanka Suresh (24), Kuruvamma (53), daughter Nageshwari (21), Raji (20), sister Leena (17) and Jyothi (34). Bindu (38), daughter Surya (10) and Shyam (28) of Arjun bus were admitted to Paripally Medical College Hospital. No one’s injury is serious.
