Kochi: The High Court on Wednesday ordered to arrest accused who were acquitted by the trial court in the Valayar case. The government and the mother of children appealed against the trial court’s order. The High Court said that the accused should be arrested and produced before the trial court and, the trial court should give bail on this case.
The trial court earlier acquitted four accused in six cases, finding that the prosecution could not prove the charges leveled against them.
The government appealed against this. The government appealed, citing lapses on the part of the investigating team and the prosecution, and that the trial court erred in noting even the strongest evidence.
