NORKA provides financial assistance to expatriates worth Rs 5,000

Doha: Non-resident citizens who have not been able to return home will receive financial assistance of Rs 5000 through bank accounts. The application will be accepted until 30th April. Financial assistance is available to those who return from overseas on or after January 1, 2020, and are unable to return to work due to lockdown.

The order does not require NORKA’s identity card. Non-residents who do not have a Savings Bank Account must submit NRO / Native Joint Bank Account Number. Those who do not have such an account have to submit their bank account number and proof of relationship with the spouse.

No funds will be sent to the NRI account. Those who have a valid passport and visa and who have expired during this period are eligible. Minister to implement ‘Operation Break Through’ in Ernakulam
