Bhopal: Five BJP MLAs of Madhya Pradesh were sworn in as Ministers. Though the ruling party, none other than the Chief Minister took the oath. It is reported that the cabinet did not develop due to lockdown.

The Ministers take the oath at a simple ceremony in the presence of Governor Lalji Tandon, yesterday afternoon. At the same time, no one has been given a very important health minister during the COVID crisis. At present, there are two departments for each minister. Reports suggest that the cabinet will be expanded again on May 3, ending the lockdown.

Six-time MLA and once-ministers Naruto Mishra, Meena Singh, Kamal Patel, Tulsiram Silawat and Govind Singh Rajput have been sworn in as ministers. Two of them have resigned from the MLA and left Congress. With Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia joining BJP, 22 MLAs have resigned from the state.
