Online classes in schools from June 1

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that online classes will be started in schools on June 1. The Chief Minister said that a decision on the resumption of normal functioning would be taken soon. The matters relating to the conduct of various entrance examinations of the higher education department have been decided. KAEM exam will hold two paper exams in the morning and afternoon of July 16th.

The third and fifth year LLB exams will be held online on June 13 and 14. The exam will be held on 21st June. The exam for the MCA will be held on July 4. After the polytechnic, there will be no special entrance examination for engineering entrance through lateral entry. Admissions will be made this year through the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, based on the marks.Students who have applied for the KEAM exam and are now enrolled in non-Kerala centers and registered students in centers outside Kerala will be allowed to change their examination centers in June.

New Delhi: Center to announce more concessions on lockdown in India. The railways said it would partially resume travel services from Tuesday. Only those who have an online ticket will have access to the railway station.

Apart from Thiruvananthapuram, it has trains from Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jammu, Madgaon, Secunderabad, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Bilaspur, Patna, Howrah, Agartala, and Dibrugarh. All trains will leave for Delhi from here.

New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram special train will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Railways said the final timetable of the trains will be released soon. No blankets will be provided on trains.

Thiruvananthapuram: The heart of Lali Gopakumar, a native of Chembazhati, flies to Kochi in Kerala’s helicopter. The woman from Kothamangalam is will receive the heart. For the first time, a government-paid helicopter is being used as an air ambulance for organ donation.

The heart donated by Lali Gopakumar, a resident of Chembazhanthi who is a brain deceased admitted at a private hospital at Thiruvananthapuram. The 49-year-old woman from Kothamangalam had heart surgery.

The Kothamangalam native was waiting for a month to register with the government’s organ donation scheme.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Met Department has said that showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue over the next five days. Yellow Alert announced today in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Ernakulam districts. A yellow alert was announced in Ernakulam, Kannur, Kasaragod on 12th and Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts on the 13th.

The isolated areas are predicted to receive heavy rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.

New Delhi: The Central Government has begun the process of returning the Indian nationals trapped in foreign countries after May 15. The decision to return people stranded in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Germany, Spain, and Thailand next week.

The Vande Bharat Mission has been named as the mission to bring back the Indians. The second phase of the mission will begin on May 15. In the first phase, 64 aircraft are set to return 15,000 Indians stranded in 12 countries from May 7-15. Authorities say the largest evacuation since the Gulf War is taking place.

At the same time, those returning from European countries and the US will be charged Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for special flights. Anyone of the passengers will be treated at the hospital for any symptoms of COVID. The survivors will be accommodated in a 14-day quarantine.

The interest rate on the loan is 10.5%. Also, the EMI (Monthly) repayment entitles them to six months’ grace. Users can check the loan eligibility via the Yono App itself. For this, click on the “Pre-approved Loan” section of the App. The payment amount and the repayment period will be given. Subsequent OTPs upon entering the app, the amount will be credited to the account.

16 migrant workers who fell asleep on the tracks died on the train in Maharashtra

Aurangabad: At least16 migrant workers killed by train hit in Maharashtra. The incident occurred in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The train went through the bodies of people who slept on the railway tracks. The villagers of Bhujwal in Madhya Pradesh was killed.

The accident happened around 6.15 am today. The railway security guards and the police reached the spot and rescued them.

The people were returning home from Maharashtra, about 170 km from their home after losing their jobs following a lockdown. The accident occurred on the railway track under the Karmat police station in Aurangabad. The police said that they were steelworkers in Jalna.

Following the lockdown, a large number of migrant workers from the northern states returned to the villages on foot.

Expatriates landed in Kerala; 200 will come in Doha-Kochi aircraft on Saturday

Kochi / Malappuram: The aircraft carrying the expatriates affected by the COVID crisis has flown to Kerala. The aircraft, carrying 177 passengers from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, landed at Nedumbassery and Karipur last night. All of them, except those with concessions, were admitted to government-appointed quarantine centers. Quarantine is prepared for the ex-pats who come to the district at SCMS Hostel, Kalamassery.

The aircraft was provided with special parking bays and aerobridges. As soon as passengers entered the terminal, the temperature gun and thermal scanner used to check the the temperature of the passengers and special arrangements were made to keep the distance between the immigration counters and the conveyor belt.

The Defense Research Development Organization has taken a major initiative to disinfect the baggage at the Nedumbassery airport. The total number of passengers who traveled from Abu Dhabi to Kochi was 25. The other passengers are from Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kasaragod, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts.

They were sent from the airport to the Quarantine centers of their respective districts. Quarantine is fixed for pregnant women, senior citizens, and children under the age of ten in their homes. Quarantine is the only passenger in the Kasaragod district and is currently in Ernakulam. The passengers who arrived in Karipur were taken to COVID Care Center, Safa Hospital, Kalikavu for a special examination.

 Arrangements have been made to transport the expatriates themselves. The KSRTC buses will take them to COVID Care Center for adequate health care and after seven days of observation, they will be sent home after a rigorous health check-up and there are no specific symptoms. They will be under the strict supervision of the Health Department to ensure complete security. Doha-Kochi flight arrives on Saturday 200 people are being brought from Doha in the first phase.

Poison gas leakage tragedy in Vishakhapatnam; Eight people died; 25 were seriously injured

Vijayawada: Seven people died after inhaling poisonous gas from a factory in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Chemical gas leaked from LG Polymer Industries in RR Venkatapuram, Visakhapatnam district. The tragedy has been in the industrial sector.

One of the dead is an eight-year-old girl. The death toll is expected to rise. The leak occurred just after 3 am on Thursday. Authorities began evacuating 20 nearby villages. The Disaster Response Force, Fire Brigade, and the Police are on the scene. The leak at the plant has been rectified, officials said.

Some people have difficulty breathing due to the leaking gas. Those who are in critical condition are being transferred to the hospital. In addition to ambulances, people were rushed to the hospital in goodies, cars, and cars. The people were admitted to the King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam. More than 200 people have been admitted to the hospital.
