New Delhi: Center to announce more concessions on lockdown in India. The railways said it would partially resume travel services from Tuesday. There will be 15 cities, including Thiruvananthapuram, from Delhi. With the third phase closing next Sunday, Prime Minister will review the situation with the state’s chief ministers on Monday.
Trains start from Delhi to 15 locations and vice versa. There will be AC coaches. Booking will begin on Monday at 4 pm through IRTC. Online bookings can be made through the website https://www.irctc.co.in/. Reservations will begin today at 4 pm. Railway ticket counters will not be opened. Only those who have an online ticket will have access to the railway station.
Apart from Thiruvananthapuram, it has trains from Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jammu, Madgaon, Secunderabad, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Bilaspur, Patna, Howrah, Agartala, and Dibrugarh. All trains will leave for Delhi from here.
New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram special train will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Railways said the final timetable of the trains will be released soon. No blankets will be provided on trains.
Mask mandatory for travelers. Social distance should be maintained. Only ticket holders are allowed to come to the stations. There will be screening. People with flu-like symptoms can be excluded. The state government is resuming railway service to Thiruvananthapuram as the state government is trying to run a special train for Malayalee students stranded in North India.
