Air India Express launches bookings from India to Bahrain in October

New Delhi: Air India Express starts booking from India to Bahrain in October. This has come after a contract signed by India and Bahrain. The booking started from October five to 21.

The service will leave Thiruvananthapuram on October 5 and 13, Kochi on October 6 and 19, Kozhikode on October 7 and 14, and Kannur on October 21. There is also a service from Mangalore on the 13th. The ticket price from Kannur is Rs 39,000.

Air service resumes to 13 countries

New Delhi: India is all set to resume flights suspended in the wake of COVID 19. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted that flights to and from 13 countries would be launched soon.

It will resume flights to 13 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Qatar, France, Germany, Afghanistan, UAE, Maldives, Iraq, Nigeria, and Bahrain. Earlier, it had launched services from India to the US, UK, Germany, and France.

Apart from this, the service will be extended to more countries, the Civil Aviation Minister said. The minister said more details would be released soon.

Choreographer, friend arrested with drugs

Mangalore: Mangalore city police on Saturday arrested reality show star and choreographer Kishore Aman Shetty, 30, and his friend Akhil Nousheel, 28. MDMA drugs worth Rs 1 lakh were also seized from the accused.

Defendants addicted to drugs also sold it in the city. The drugs were brought from Mumbai. City Police Commissioner Vikash Kumar told media persons that the accused were suspected to have links with a Bollywood drug gang.

The CCB had found that Kishore had smuggled large quantities of drugs from Mumbai to Mangalore. An FIR has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs Act.

Kishore starred in the dance-oriented Bollywood film ABCD and choreographed films. Kishore became famous through his dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’.

Akhil Nousheel, who used to work as a sales office in Dubai, returned a year ago. It is learned that the two had organized drug parties together. Police said the investigation is progressing.

Actresses Sanjana Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi were earlier arrested in connection with a drug case involving the Kannada film industry. The probe team had questioned the couple Digant Manjala, Aindrita Rai, and actor Akul Balaji in the case.

3 Al Qaeda terrorists arrested in Ernakulam, 6 accomplices captured in Bengal

Kochi / New Delhi: Nine Al Qaeda terrorists have been arrested in a simultaneous raid by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Kerala and West Bengal. Three terrorists were arrested in Ernakulam district under the guise of out-of-state workers. This is the first time in Kerala that the Al Qaeda presence has been confirmed.

Murshid Hassan from Pathalam, Kalamassery, Yakub Biswas from Mudikkal, and Perumbavoor and Mosaraf Hosson from Alapra were arrested. Najmus Saqib, Abu Sufyan, Mainul Montal, Lee Yin Ahmad, Al Mamun Kamal, and Athitur Rahman were arrested in Murshidabad, West Bengal. All the accused are from Murshidabad. The NIA said that they had planned to carry out blasts in Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Visakhapatnam with the support of Pakistan. Clarified. The Kochi shipyard, the southern naval base, and the defense zones of Karnataka were also on the hit list. The aim was to carry out a series of simultaneous blasts on Diwali day. The accused met in Delhi about to finalize the plan of attack and the NIA arrested them, reports said. After arriving in Delhi, a group went to Kashmir to collect weapons and explosives.

Batteries, switches, wires, and explosives were collected to make the bomb. The terrorists arrested in Ernakulam were produced in court and remanded. They will be flown to Delhi today. The transit warrant to be produced in Delhi court was released by Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate S. Shamnadh.    

Three terrorists arrested from J&K

Srinagar: Police have arrested three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants from Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police arrested Rahil Basheer, a native of Pulwama, Hamza alias Amir Jan and Hafiz Younus Wani, a native of Shopian, with weapons brought by drone from Pakistan. One lakh rupees was also seized from them.

A.K. 56 rifles, six AK magazines with 180 rounds, two Chinese pistols, three pistol magazines with 30 rounds, and four grenades were brought to the border by drone.

The BSF has stepped up surveillance along the border as Pakistani terrorists have increased the supply of weapons to Kashmir by drones. Low pressure in the Bay of Bengal: Heavy rains in the state, red alert in three districts

Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Kerala due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. A red alert was declared in Idukki, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts today. An orange alert is issued in all districts except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta. The Meteorological Department said a yellow alert had been issued in these districts.

The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has directed the public and government agencies to take precautionary measures against landslides and floods in low-lying areas. There is a risk of falling tree trunks due to strong winds. The notice also said that fish workers should not go to sea for any reason.

A red alert has been declared in Idukki, Malappuram, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts tomorrow. A yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha districts and an orange alert has been declared elsewhere.

The announcement said those in disaster-prone areas in districts where a red-orange alert has been declared should be shifted to camps immediately as part of precaution. Due to heavy rains during the night, people are forced to relocate during the day in areas prone to landslides and mudslides.

Night traffic to hilly areas should be completely avoided. The disaster management authority also directed that an order be issued banning night traffic to the hilly region between 7 am and 7 pm.
